Beneath the desert (Copyright 2009)

Beneath the desert

Sometimes first impressions

can be like a blue pond

glinting in the desert.

The waves breaking like ocean water.

Evil is meant to be deceiving.

But beneath it there can be beauty.

Especially when it’s used as a defense;

evil can easily be mistaken for beauty.

It resembles that blue desert water.

Evil is meant to intimidate.

But like that clear, blue water,

a veil’s meant to be seen through.

For only so long.

Beneath the blue pond, I can see beauty.

I can see beneath the desert.

I can see behind the mirage.

I can see you
